Javier is in love with Romina. At a party, we hear his thoughts and sometimes he even talks to us. Playing between reality and fantasy, Javier will try to overcome his fears and get the girl of his dreams.

Through pitchblack humor that’s born from a familiar absurdity of life’s situational satire, this film offers a sharp insight to the minds of somewhat intertwined inner worlds of two lonely individuals.

The complex contradictions embedded in the social and political dynamics of today’s Cuba—often invisible to casual visitors—are unveiled in a narrative built primarily from clandestine audio recordings captured on hidden phones. The aim is to portray, from within, the complexities and contradictions of a country that leaves little room for dissent.

Two stories set in Río de Janeiro. The first one (HO) is about a man who picks up a couple of newlyweds on the highway to Río. The couple's car is wrecked and the man offers his help to take the bride to their honeymoon bungalow. Everything goes wrong when the man is caught by his wife with the bride in his car. The second story (Divertimento) is about a woman who wants to kill her lover's wife. She doesn't know that her lover and his wife plan to stage the crime to blackmail her.
